TEMSA is a part of Fósforos Holding Company which formerly was part of Swedish Match A.B., worldwide famous match producer and manufacturer of other massive consumption products. Currently, Compañía Chilena de Fósforos is a publicly traded corporation controlled by Chilean capital. Amongst the larger owners you will find its former managers.
Nowadays TEMSA is consolidated on the North American market, delivering more than 75 percent of paint paddles sold in the country. Also it is one of the principal manufacturers of ice cream sticks within South America, where it supplies demanding clients such as Nestle.
In the plant located in Los Lagos, TEMSA produces sawn products from pine, creating added value to the raw material. At the same location TEMSA develops products such as paint stirring paddles, moldings, fixtures, handles and other equivalents. Its production is mainly oriented towards the foreign markets, with a primary destination of goods, within the USA.
In Copihue, you will find our second industrial establishment, where we produce uncoiled products from poplar wood, such as smaller ice cream sticks, sticks for medical purposes (amongst others, tongue-depressors), chopsticks and others.
